Never say that you'll never care about Justin Bieber, because the trailer for his upcoming documentary "Never Say Never" just might change your mind. Biebs baby videos? Check. Concert performances in 3D? Check. An introspective look on our new digital lifestyle? Allegedly. But if skeptics thought a documentary about a 16-year-old would be a joke, well, Justin did warn them to never say never.
But really, can we just take a second to talk about that first video clip in the trailer? Justin couldn't have been more than three or four years old, and in an ultra-squeaky little kid voice says, "I'm Justin and this is how I drum!" Then he proceeds to put down a beat that most of us probably couldn’t do on our best day.
Unsurprisingly, the film is a mix of real-life concert footage, Justin's early YouTube videos and interviews with fans and stars. A bite from the Usher interview was shown in the trailer, and we can bet Jaden Smith is going to be interviewed in addition to being in those post-"Karate Kid" concert appearances. Oh, and did we mention the baby videos?
We're really intrigued by what portions of the film have been shot or converted to 3D, though. Director Jon Chu has already proved he's more than capable with "Step Up 3D," but will there be more than just concert videos popping out at us from the big screen? If there's one thing we'd love to see in three dimensions, it's definitely the creation of the Bieber swoop. Oh, and that video of him jumping around with the guitar. You know which one we're talking about.
